The first on his list of restaurants in New York, this bistro, which was recently revamped from being the old townhouse beauty to a brand new French bordello duplex, still attracts the same old distinguished crowd of theatre goers and art connoisseurs. The cuisine includes simple French fare with a dash of contemporary styles, so dishes like Cumin-Scented Carrot Confit, Beet Green-Filled Ravioli or even Roast Chicken and Broiled Fish seem to be new and exciting. The Valrhona Cake should be your premier choice for a dessert, as it's the house specialty. For an experience of quality food, service and ambience, you wouldn't mind paying a little more now, would you?
